Ramsey 2018 Reunion Location

Where would you like to hold the Ramsey Reunion for 2018? The Schofield is having their's in the New Orleans area next October, date to be announced soon we hope. We're working with the same reunion company that we had last year.

This blog allows us the ability to dialogue on the pros and cons on this topic.

Don't care if we (Ramsey) join up or do separate reunion/location. It's not that I wouldn't like to see/meet the other guys or do same or different location. My main interest is in seeing Ramsey guys first, other guys second. Location preference would be continental U.S. and major metropolitan area second (for ease of travel). Central location would be nice (since I'm in Midwest[Milwaukee])but USA is preferred.

I agree, Ramsey crew first, that's what this is all about. If we can get hotel costs, tour costs down, by having it at the same hotel as the other ship(s), we should get a better rate, better rate might be the difference for some members attending or not attending. The name of the game is to get attendance and shipmates together. We had these same discussions at the Schofield meetings. They came to the conclusion, it's good for all, if a location conducive to all hands works out. If not, so be it....

This may be a little selfish on my part, and a little torn on sharing/ not sharing a reunion. I think we should have it as a Ramsey only, yet I think a joint reunion, once in a Blue Moon, would be cool. New Orleans would be a fun place to go, especially in October/ month of Halloween.

THIS IS A RAMSEY REUNION ONLY! WE WILL BE HOLDING IT AT THE SAME HOTEL AS THE SCHOFIELD ONLY, SEPARATE REUNIONS.
